Seren keeps this simple: we use a small amount of browser storage so you stay signed in and land on the right screen. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking.
What this covers
Cookies and similar technologies — browser local storage, session storage and mobile device storage — used by the Seren website, web app and mobile apps.
What we use
Everything Seren stores in your browser is strictly necessary to run the service, so no consent banner is required under UK PECR. We do not set analytics, advertising or social-media cookies, and Seren shows no third-party ads.

Signing out clears all of the above from your browser.
Third parties you may encounter
- Stripe — when an organiser subscribes or buys tickets, checkout happens on pages hosted by Stripe, which sets its own strictly necessary cookies for payment security and fraud prevention. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts — our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. Google may receive your IP address when the font files are served. No cookies are set.
Mobile apps
The Seren apps for iOS and Android store your sign-in session in the device's secure storage and, with your permission, a push-notification token so we can tell you about new introductions. We do not use advertising identifiers. You can manage notification permission in your device settings.
Your choices
You can clear or block storage at any time in your browser settings. Because the storage above is required for sign-in, blocking it will mean you can browse seren.social but not use the app while signed in. If we ever introduce non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
