Seren — Terms of Service
Effective date: 1 July 2026 · Provider: Yamu Ltd, 61c Rivington St, London EC2A 3QQ, United Kingdom · Contact: support@seren.social
1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of Seren (the website, web app, and mobile apps). By creating an account or using Seren you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines. If you don't agree, don't use Seren.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older and able to form a binding contract. Seren is not a dating service and must not be used as one.
3. What Seren does
Seren gives each member a private agent that suggests introductions to people genuinely worth meeting, and reveals identity only on mutual consent. Organisers run events and receive tools and reporting. We facilitate introductions; we do not guarantee any particular match, connection, outcome, or that any person is who they claim to be. Use your own judgement and ordinary caution when meeting people.
4. Your account
Keep your credentials secure; you're responsible for activity under your account. Roles (member, organiser) are assigned by us. Provide accurate information and keep it current.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to follow our Community Guidelines and not to: misuse or scrape the service; impersonate others; harass, abuse, or endanger anyone; share others' private information; use Seren for unlawful purposes, spam, or solicitation; or attempt to circumvent the consent/privacy model. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
6. Your content
You retain rights to the content you provide. You grant us a limited licence to host and process it to operate Seren (including generating matching signals). You're responsible for what you share and must have the right to share it.
7. Organisers, payments & ticketing
Organisers may subscribe to paid plans and sell tickets. Members never pay to be introduced. Payments are processed by Stripe; by transacting you also agree to Stripe's terms. Where Seren charges a ticketing fee (currently 3%), it is disclosed at checkout. Organiser payouts (where offered) run through Stripe Connect and require identity/KYC. Pricing, fees, and refund/cancellation terms are as shown at purchase; statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
8. Events
Organisers are responsible for the events they run, including any venue, safety, and legal obligations. Seren is not the organiser of, and is not responsible for, events hosted by users.
9. Intellectual property
Seren, its software, design, and brand are owned by Yamu Ltd and protected by law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use Seren for its intended purpose. Don't copy, modify, or reverse-engineer it except as permitted by law.
10. Disclaimers
Seren is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties. We don't warrant uninterrupted or error-free service, or any introduction outcome.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yamu Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for the conduct of other users or third parties (including at events). Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law (e.g. death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Subject to that, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or £100 if you have paid us nothing).
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Yamu Ltd against claims arising from your misuse of Seren or breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
13. Suspension & termination
You may stop using Seren and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, risk to others, or legal reasons. Some clauses survive termination (e.g. IP, liability, governing law).
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, unless mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in-app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
